Some pre-existing medical conditions are covered by ANZ travel insurance, provided they are under control, you are not waiting for treatment, or awaiting results of medical tests or investigations into your condition.

General Exclusions from all ANZ Policies
Travelling even though you know you are unfit to travel.
Travelling against advice from a medical practitioner.
Pre-existing medical conditions not automatically covered by ANZ.
Deliberate bodily harm, including suicide and attempted suicide.
Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Any mental illness including dementia, depressions, anxiety, panic attacks, or bipolar.
Contracting HIV or AIDS or any sexually transmitted diseases.
Acting maliciously or taking part in any civil riots or protests.
Any criminal or dishonest act.
Failing to take reasonable precautions to avoid a claim.
The cancellation or delay of travel plans due to the failure of the service provider to provide the relevant service.
A government authority seizing, destroying or confiscating your property.
The Claims Process With ANZ Travel Insurance
Report all luggage losses to the local authority within 24-hours of an incident taking place with a written acknowledgement.
Report any luggage incident to the conveyance carrier as a claim - the carrier may be laible for the claim.
Provide written notice as soon as possible for any incident that might result in a claim.
Provide your Certificate of Insurance and any other documentation that might assist your claims process, such as medical reports, receipts, police reports, or proof of ownership.
Do not offer any payment or admit fault to anyone with regards to an event that might result in a claim, without prior consent from the insurer.
For any medical claims, provide evidence from a medical practitioner treating your condition that you are aware of signs or symptoms of the condition.
