Cooling off period
If you decide that the Woolworths travel insurance policy is not for you, you can have 14-days to cancel the policy from the start date of the policy. You can simply write to Woolworths to cancel the policy and you will receive a full refund. You can only cancel your policy if you have not yet made a claim or exercised any of your rights or powers under the policy.
General Exclusions That Apply to all Woolworths Policies
Not acting responsibly to protect yourself or your property.
Not doing all you can to reduce loss or damage to property.
Consequential loss of any kind, including loss of enjoyment.
Having prior knowledge about something that would give rise to you making a claim.
A government official detaining you or your property.
Claims arising from any unlawful behaviour.
Driving without a valid Australian drivers license or IDP in a country where it is required.
Driving a motorbike or three-wheeled vehicle without the correct headgear.
Claims arising from any natural disaster, terrorist attacks, or health concerns, where pan advance warning was given for travelling to that area or country.
Not following official warnings or advice.
Reckless behaviour while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Travelling against the advice of a medical practitioner.
Claims that arise from pregnancy, childbirth or related conditions.
Sexually transmitted diseases.
Receiving private medical assistance where public healthcare is available or a RHCA is in place with Australia.
Participating in winter sports unless an additional premium has been purchased.
Engaging in high-risk activities not covered by your policy.
Any claims related to depression, mental illness, or anxiety.
Claims Process for Woolworths Travel Insurance
Give Woolworths notice of your claim as soon as possible.
Lodge a claim online at http://insurance.woolworths.com.au/travel-insurance/ make-a-claim.html or download and fill in a claim form and post back to the claims department.
Attach as much backup information as possible with your claim, including police reports, receipts, medical reports, evaluations, proof of ownership, and any other evidential papers.
Your claim will be processed within 10-days of receiving a completed claim.
